Many schools are eager to implement surveys and assessments to better understand the social-emotional strengths and needs of their students; however, knowing how to leverage the data collected to effectively inform universal SEL programs and initiatives can be less clear.
This webinar addresses the benefits of social-emotional assessments and surveys as well as how to overcome the challenges often faced by educators. We will also highlight the work done by a Branching Minds district partner to implement the Social-Emotional Competency Assessment (SECA) and their use of school and grade-level reporting to inform their Tier 1 SEL practices. Key findings from this project as well as student and staff perceptions of the survey will be shared and discussed.
