    Trudy Bender is the MTSS Content Manager at Branching Minds. She has extensive experience as a teacher, school psychologist, and district administrator. She previously served as the Coordinator of District Behavior Intervention for Waco ISD, where she led the district in reducing exclusionary discipline practices and disproportionality, including initiatives to improve school climate and classroom management, provide effective Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior intervention programs, and coordinate wrap-around services and transitional support for students in alternative disciplinary settings. She is a Restorative Discipline Facilitator and has expertise in building district and campus systems that incorporate restorative practices. She is currently part of a statewide effort in Texas to enhance school safety by providing integrated MTSS and restorative practices training for educators and school-based law enforcement.

    Brian Clason is currently the Program Manager of Curriculum and Instruction at the Texas School Safety Center. He has spent the last 23 years of his career serving diverse communities between Texas and Colorado as a school administrator, post-secondary readiness coordinator, literacy coach, teacher, and community advocate.  Brian is a believer and practitioner of building campus cultures that focus on the well-being and connectedness of every child in an effort to prevent hopelessness, unrealized potential, and school violence.
