    Dr. Valerie Parsons has been in education for 26 years, starting with 6 years as a teacher in elementary and middle school and 5 years as an instructional coach in the areas of Reading, English Language Development, RTI, and MTSS. She continued her journey as an educational administrator 15 years ago coordinating at the district office in professional learning, curriculum and instruction, and health education. After seeing statistically significant improvements in learning outcomes associated with MTSS framework implementation, Valerie is now dedicated to helping districts and schools achieve similar success- and recognizes Branching Minds’ technology as an integral piece of the implementation puzzle!

    Laurel Dickson

    Richardson ISD, Texas

    Laurel Dickson is the Director of MTSS in Richardson ISD in Texas. Prior to leading the work of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Laurel was a Section 504 Specialist, a campus RtI coordinator, a behavior specialist, and spent nineteen years as a classroom teacher of English Language Arts and Reading. She was named a campus teacher of the year and Region 10 Texas Middle School Association’s teacher of the year.  Laurel is a graduate of Tarleton State University and Southern Methodist University.
